Nelson Mandela Day is a global call to action that celebrates the idea that each individual has the power to transform the world and the ability to make an impact.
GPAPD`s CALL TO ACTION for Mandela day is to challenge individuals and companies to make a difference in the lives of the disabled by donating a minimum of R67 for your 67 minutes on Mandela day.
We are encouraging companies to challenge all their employees and suppliers to contribute R67 and match the contribution made by GPAPD.
GPAPD is BBBEE compliant and we can issue a tax certificate for all your individual or corporate contributions.
Your contribution of R67 will go towards the following needs:
- Buying assistive devices such as wheelchairs for the disabled;
- Buying food parcels for the impoverished disabled persons and their families who are in need;
- 4 Skills development training aimed at empowering the disabled in Gauteng;
- Travelling costs for our Social Workers to enable them to reach and service the disabled.
Background to GPAPD

In addition, GPAPD provides Social Work services to people with disabilities, their families and significant others in and around Gauteng focusing more especially on townships and informal settlements.
